JCAA Advocacy

JCAA continues to meet with District Leadership, CSEA and JCEA to advocate for member budget priorities.

On April 10, 2009, the JCAA Board of Directors drafted a letter in support of using stimulus dollars to add instructional coaches at Jeffco Elementary and Middle Schools. Click here to view the body of the letter.

All JCAA Board Members and the Executive Director signed the letter. As a sign of further support, articulation area representatives hand-carried signature sheets to their constituents and gathered 80 signatures in under two days. We are convinced that had we taken more time, we could have gathered signatures of nearly every administrator in Jeffco (including the Central Administrators). We submitted the letter and articulation support sheets to the Board of Ed and District Cabinet for their consideration on April 15, 2009.
